Average age of Congregation
A really important part of my research is to find out the average age of the congregation because at the end of the day these are the people who will be using the chairs and it MUST cater to their needs.
It also will give me a understanding on what areas I need to concentrate on for example comfort, practicality and safety.
These statistics were taken from http://www.whychurch.org.uk/age.php.

The ages of the churchgoers-
As you can see the average age of the congregation is aged between 55-74. Therefore, I need to cater to these ages the most within my products and designs. However, I must also take into consideration that the purpose of these chairs is so that they can be multifunctional and cater to various activities within the church - as a result they must be designed with these factors in mind.

- 16-24 9%
- 25-34 11%
- 35-44 15%
- 45-54 16%
- 55-64 18%
- 65-74 18%
- Over 75 12%
As you can see the average age of the congregation is aged between 55-74. Therefore, I need to cater to these ages the most within my products and designs.
